Key Responsibilities
The Immunocore Information Technology Service Desk Team is looking for an IT Service Desk Intern to join our team. The team is critical to the smooth and effective daily operations of all Immunocore colleagues and scientific equipment. This position will facilitate, implement, troubleshoot, problem solve and enhance Immunocore IT support systems and operational responsibilities.
The IT Service Desk Intern is responsible for assisting the IT Service Desk team in providing support to Immunocore employees with computer hardware and software issues and will work with end users directly. This position will be focused on providing support for employees across various departments and locations. The IT Service Desk Intern will be responsible for ensuring prioritisation and initial troubleshooting for all incoming incidents and requests. Over the course of the internship, all IT systems will be involved, from networking and infrastructure, security, to AD/Azure Windows environment management. Creating & administering user accounts, Exchange groups & equipment to strict deadlines. Provide documentation/training, enabling end users to self-serve wherever possible. There will also be a project focus on refreshing company technology on-site to enable the company to maintain workflows and an up-to-date working infrastructure. This will involve planning a roll-out to hundreds of end-users (and laboratories) with, but not limited to, laptops, peripherals, monitors, and scientific software.
Education & Qualifications
Currently studying and looking for a year in industry - BSc. Computing and IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related discipline.
