As an Immigration Advisor at Immigration Advice Service, your primary focus will be holding consultations with clients on all aspects of Immigration, assessing individual circumstances, explaining available routes and providing clear structured advice with practical next steps in resolving their immigration matters ensuring the highest standards of client care.
This role will involve using your wealth of Immigration experience to advise clients correctly, answer any questions they have and transfer them to the Casework team who will be responsible for preparing and submitting their applications. While there may be limited scope to undertake casework where capacity allows, the core function of this role is advisory rather than application management and it is best suited to advisors who enjoy analytical discussions, problem-solving and delivering clear strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client consultations across a range of UK immigration matters in line with your IAA accreditation level
- Assess clients' immigration needs and eligibility, identify appropriate immigration routes and provide tailored advice and action plans
- Ensure all contact with the client and any other action taken in respect of cases is recorded on attendance notes and regularly updated on the database
- Explain legal procedures, requirements, risks and likely outcomes clearly and professionally
- Liaise with relevant authorities and external agencies where necessary
- Meet individual and team performance targets
- Keep up to date with changes in immigration law and attend required training
- Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Management.
What we’re looking for:
- Fully accredited at IAA Level 1, 2 or 3
- LLB or Law related degree or diploma
- At least 1 year of experience in immigration and asylum advice
- Strong communication, organisation and client care skills
- Confident liaising with clients, authorities and stakeholders.
