Immigration Lawyer/Caseworker

Role Description

As a Caseworker, you will provide expert immigration and asylum advice, manage caseloads, prepare and represent cases and ensure the highest standards of client care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and casework assistance in all areas of UK immigration law
• Ensure all contact with the client and any other action taken in respect of cases is recorded on attendance notes and regularly updated on the database.
• Interview and advise clients regarding Immigration/Asylum law, procedure and practice.
• Liaise with Immigration Authorities, other agencies and groups as required.
• Meet specified casework and other targets as set by Supervisor
• Stay current with immigration law developments and attend training
• Work to meet personal and team targets
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Management.

What we\’re looking for:

– Fully accredited at IAA Level 1, 2 or 3

– LLB or Law related degree or diploma

– At least 1 year of experience in immigration and asylum legal advice & representation.

– Strong communication, organisational and client care skills.

– Confident liaising with clients, authorities and stakeholders.
