Immersum is supporting a fantastic client who is about to kick off a major greenfield data engineering project — and they’re looking to bring in a Senior Data Engineer on a 3-month rolling contract to help deliver a brand-new client-facing self-service application. This is a brilliant opportunity to join at the very start of the build. The data flows and architecture are already mapped out, but the team now needs a capable engineer to turn that design into a secure, performant, and production-ready solution.
Core Technical Expertise
- Strong experience using Fivetran (or similar ETL tools) to build and manage ingestion pipelines
- Excellent Python for data manipulation, automation, and API integrations
- Advanced SQL and hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Solid understanding of AWS and secure cloud data design
Security Awareness
- Solid security best practice, access control, permissions, and safe handling of client data.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Building secure, high-performance ingestion pipelines using Fivetran
- Designing and delivering API-driven data services
- Embedding security and best practices
- Working closely with the Data Lead daily
- Delivering the backend data engineering for a completely new client app
Hybrid – Ideally 1-3 days per week in the office
