We are working with an award-winning digital product studio operating across Europe, North America and Asia. With a strong reputation for craft, design excellence and human-centred technology, they partner with global brands to build impactful digital products used at scale.
They are now hiring a Head of Technology to lead and evolve their engineering capability during a pivotal growth phase.
The Role
Reporting into senior technology leadership, you will be responsible for the technical direction, health and performance of a ~25-person engineering team (full-stack, mobile and test) supported by freelancers. This is a hands-off but deeply technical leadership role, blending:
- Strategic technology leadership
- Senior client and stakeholder engagement
- Team growth, culture and capability building
- Oversight of solution architecture and delivery quality
- Input into new business, scoping and pitches
You will work closely with Design, Product and Delivery peers, helping shape how complex digital products are conceived, built and delivered.
What They’re Looking For
- 15+ years in software engineering, with a clear progression into senior technical leadership
- Strong technical credibility (web/backend JS/TS or mobile-native background)
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a client services / agency / consultancy environment
- Comfortable with modern architectures, cloud, CI/CD and AI-assisted tooling
- Confident engaging with clients, senior stakeholders and new business opportunities
- A human-first leader who cares deeply about team wellbeing, growth and inclusion
- Calm, adaptable and effective in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
