The Company
Immersum is supporting a fast-growing EV infrastructure & clean energy business playing a critical role in accelerating the UK’s transition to sustainable transport. Operating at national scale and backed by a strong mission, this organisation is investing heavily in data to support smarter commercial, operational and strategic decision‑making across the business.
The Role
This is a Head of Data position with a clear analytics and insights focus, rather than hands‑on data engineering. Reporting into the CFO, you’ll lead a small but growing Data & Insights team (currently 2 people, with 2 additional hires underway), taking ownership of how data requests are shaped, prioritised and delivered across the organisation. A core part of the role is acting as the bridge between senior stakeholders and the data team — translating ambiguous commercial questions into clear, actionable analytical work the team can confidently execute.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and support a growing Data & Insights team, creating clarity, structure and momentum
- Own and evolve the data & analytics roadmap during a key period of growth
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders to understand business problems and turn them into well‑defined analytical requests
- Oversee delivery of executive reporting, KPI dashboards and ad‑hoc insight
- Embed clear intake, prioritisation and ways‑of‑working processes for analytics requests
- Champion data storytelling, insight quality and stakeholder adoption
- Support (but not personally own) the direction of the underlying data platform and tooling
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading analytics or insight teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills — confident working with senior, non‑technical leaders
- Strong at fleshing out vague requests and translating them into structured analytical outcomes
- Commercially minded, pragmatic and outcome‑focused
- Comfortable managing and developing data professionals
- Background in analytics, BI and insight delivery (not a hands‑on data engineering role)
Why This Role
- Genuine leadership role with clear ownership and influence
- Strong mission‑led business in EV infrastructure & clean energy
- Opportunity to shape how analytics supports decision‑making at exec level
- Well‑supported team with further growth planned
