Immersive Labs is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our UK engineering team. This role is a key part in building our Immersive One platform, working with data engineers, analysts and software engineers to develop, maintain and refactor analytical data models within our data warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives on data quality, observability, and model optimisation.
- Design, build and maintain high-quality datasets for engineers to build robust customer‑facing reporting.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to assess and mitigate the impact of upstream product changes.
- Apply domain knowledge to develop semantic layers for business intelligence.
- Develop data models optimized for efficient querying over large datasets, specifically for reports embedded within our main platform.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in transforming, testing, and documenting data while maintaining a robust data lineage.
- Knowledge in data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques.
- Experience following software engineering best practices such as version control and continuous integration.
- Strong proficiency using SQL in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake) and comfort with performance optimisation, data partitioning, and window functions.
- Ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity, with only high‑level direction.
- Experience with dbt for data transformation layer.
- Experience with BI tooling such as Power BI or Looker.
- Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus.
