Immersive is hiring! Could you be our next Management Accountant? We’re looking for an experienced, proactive and value-driven individual to join our established Finance team in Bristol UK. This role is integral to the ability of the finance team to report consistently at month end. It owns several key processes supporting smooth running of month end close and balance sheet reconciliations across a variety of accounts. Outside of month end, this role will support the wider team with constant iterating and improvement of finance systems and processes.
Our Finance team are close-knit and everyone is encouraged to take ownership of their workflow and process improvements are welcomed - you will be a natural problem solver who is willing to admit when they don’t know the answer, but will use their initiative to figure out the solution.
As an individual contributor in the team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Own the month-end cycle for Fixed Assets, Capex, Accruals, and Prepayments—not just executing the tasks, but identifying manual touchpoints to design and implement automated workflows.
- Drive the audit process for their areas, providing timely evidence to external auditors.
- Support and input into finance system iterations (NetSuite, Jellyfish, etc.) to reduce time-to-close and improve data granularity.
- Manage R&D/Capex processes for software development, ensuring compliance while capturing the true value of our product investment.
- Bridge the gap with FP&A by providing actionable insights into spend trends.
- Mentor junior staff in AP/AR to ensure data quality at the source and collaborate with Finance Systems on COA evolution.
We’d love to hear from you if you have proven experience in the following areas:
- Experience working as a Management Accountant, ideally within a SaaS, Tech, Cyber or consultancy environment.
- You are a Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or AAT Level 4.
- Prior experience running time sensitive month end processes within a finance/reporting team.
- Experience in a startup/scale up environment and able to work autonomously in a fast paced environment where priorities can swiftly change.
- You’re a pro-active, curious individual who can improve processes and reflect on what can be done better.
