Overview

Immersive Gamebox (IGB) is a fast-growing entertainment company bringing multiplayer gaming experiences to global audiences. With 30+ venues across the UK, US, and beyond, we partner with leading studios like Netflix, Sony, WB, and Paramount to create world-class interactive content using cutting-edge technology.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Applied Data Scientist (Strategy & Analytics), based in London. You will be at the heart of IGB’s decision-making, turning data into clear insights and strategies that drive growth across pricing, marketing, content, and venue expansion.

As an Applied Data Scientist your primary job will be using data to answer crucial questions such as:

  • What is the price elasticity of our customers?
  • How can we optimise a seven-figure paid media budget?
  • Which markets should we enter next, and how can we map them using spatial analysis?
  • Which marketing initiatives are driving genuine incremental impact?
  • What is the causal lift of new game launches on revenue, and which games should we pick next?
  • How should we forecast revenue and model new initiatives to guide planning?
  • What dashboards will sharpen KPIs and support investor and board decisions?

But this is a start-up: priorities shift, opportunities emerge, and you’ll need the initiative to ask your own questions and pursue the analyses you believe will move the needle.

Who you are
  • We’re building the future of immersive entertainment and need an applied data scientist who thrives on turning data into strategic decisions that drive growth.
  • A personable, concise communicator who goes beyond presenting results – able to think critically about insights, translate them into recommendations, and judge when deep analysis is needed versus structured, decisive thinking.
  • Confident in testing bold ideas, taking calculated risks, and being accountable for outcomes – with decisions that have an immediate and visible impact on revenue.
  • Python literate (pandas, statsmodels/scikit-learn), comfortable with APIs, and motivated to own problems end-to-end while measuring real business impact.

Desirable: Prior use of SQL would be a bonus.

Salary: £35-£50k depending on level of experience
