The Social Media & Audience Engagement Manager plans, produces and publishes social-first content across MadeForMums' channels, with a particular focus on short-form vertical video, audience growth and engagement. This role sits at the intersection of social media, content creation and audience development. It leads on producing engaging, platform-appropriate content that supports brand growth, increases audience interaction and turns MadeForMums expertise, contributor input and audience insight into high-performing social output.
It's a hands‑on role: you'll film, edit and deliver a consistent weekly pipeline — typically around 15 vertical videos and 10 static posts — drawing on in‑house video, contributor‑led UGC, explainers, memes and other social‑first formats, batched and planned in advance wherever possible. You’ll also lead the social promotion and audience recruitment behind key brand initiatives, including the MadeForMums Awards and impact‑led campaigns, working closely with colleagues across Brand Marketing, Editorial and Content Utility.
As a Social Media & Audience Engagement Manager, you will:
- Social media content creation and delivery
- Lead the planning, production and publishing of weekly social-first content across MadeForMums' channels, including short-form vertical video and static formats.
- Film, edit and produce platform-appropriate, on-brand content, taking ideas through to published output.
- Appear on camera where needed — to present, support filming or contribute to branded and editorial content.
- Use platform trends, audience insight and performance signals to shape timely, relevant content and to refine format mix and publishing priorities.
- Support channel planning, scheduling and publishing workflows to keep output consistent and efficient.
- Audience insight and engagement
- Use call-outs, prompts and reactive opportunities to increase interaction, surface feedback and support repeat engagement.
- Use comments, questions and audience feedback to inform content planning and support recruitment for initiatives such as the MadeForMums Awards and related testing programmes.
- Maintain a warm, inclusive and trusted tone of voice across social channels and contributor communications, supporting moderation and timely responses where needed.
- Contributor and UGC content pipeline
- Source and coordinate parent contributors for social content, video, product testing, campaigns and selected editorial opportunities.
- Increase the use of authentic parent voices, particularly in video-led formats and recurring contributor partnerships.
- Provide clear briefs on filming, framing and delivery, reviewing and editing submitted footage to shape strong, on-brand content.
- Reporting, workflow and tools
- Maintain accurate content trackers, contributor records and engagement reporting using tools such as Monday.com and shared planning documents.
- Track key metrics including content output, engagement, contributor activation, response rates and representation, sharing regular insights with internal teams.
- Support efficient batched workflows — planning shoots, gathering assets and maintaining a clear forward content pipeline.
- Ensure all activity is managed in line with GDPR and internal data-handling processes.
Requirements
- Experience creating social-first content, including filming and editing short-form video, with confidence using Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva to produce polished, platform-appropriate content across formats.
- Confidence appearing on camera and delivering video content in a clear, warm and audience-appropriate way.
- A strong understanding of what makes effective short-form video across Instagram, TikTok and similar platforms, and what drives engagement.
- Experience planning and delivering recurring social output across a mix of formats — video, static and contributor-led content.
- Experience sourcing, coordinating and briefing contributors, creators or UGC talent, helping non-professionals capture usable content.
- Excellent written communication, with a warm, clear and audience-aware tone of voice.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple content streams, contributors and deadlines at once.
- A collaborative approach, with confidence working across editorial, social, video, commercial and marketing teams.
- Experience using planning and tracking tools such as Monday.com, Airtable or similar.
- A clear understanding of the value of representation and inclusive audience-building.
- Experience managing social communities, online audiences or contributor networks.
- Experience working in parenting, lifestyle, media or creator-led brands.
- Experience supporting awards, testing panels, community research or contributor-led projects.
- Experience with social scheduling, reporting and moderation tools.
- Experience filming studio content, vox pops or discussion-led social formats.
- Good editorial instincts and a strong sense of what makes content useful, shareable and engaging for parents.
