About the role

Reporting into the People Partnering & Ops Lead, as People Advisor you will play a key role in shaping the employee experience by providing support across the full people lifecycle.

Youllbe the go-to advisor for employees and managers, offering guidance on everything from onboarding, probation, and performance to wellbeing, policies, and employee relations.

In this role, you’llcombine practical HRknow-howwith a people-first mindset — ensuring processes run smoothly while building strong, trusted relationships across the business.

You’llalso get involved in projects that drive engagement, improve ways of working, and help us create a culture where everyone can thrive.

  • As a People Advisoryou will;
  • Support the People Partners and Lead, with their client groups, more specifically:
  • Employee Relations
  • With support from the People Partners, provide clear, pragmatic advice on employment law and ER matters, ensuring issues are managed fairly, effectively, and in line with Immediate’spolicies andprocedures.

Including but not limited toinvestigations, disciplinarymeetingsand redundancy consultations.

  • Support and guide managers on performance mattersincludingprobation reviews, informaland formal PIPs, and disciplinaryaction as needed.
  • Lead on allmaternity, paternity, and other parental processes, ensuring colleagues feel supported at every stage.
  • Lead on flexible working requests, working with People Partners where needed.
  • Own the probation process end-to-end, including reminders to managers, guidance on best practice, onboarding surveys, and check-ins.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding
  • Deliver engaging HRinductionsfor new starters
  • Ownexit interviewsand new starter check-ins, escalating insights orissuesas needed.
  • Partner with the People Administrator to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Wellbeing and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)
  • Collaborate with People Partneringand the EDI team oninitiatives such as training, surveys, feedback sessions, and policies, aiming to drive real cultural change and foster a forward-thinking, inclusive workplace.
  • Champion wellbeing initiatives, bypromoting mental health awareness, encouraginguseof EAPs, Mental Health Champions/First Aiders, flexible working, or wellbeing tools.
  • Learning & Development
  • Workclosely with the People Partneringand L&Dteamon development plans, succession planning, talent mapping, and team-specific training needs.
  • Be a champion of our coaching and development platform, Open Blend, encouraging strong engagement across the business areas you support.
  • People Administration
  • Provide support to the People Administrator with key admin tasks including contracts, letters, payroll, benefits management, and HR inbox queries.
  • Proven experienceas a People Coordinator or People Advisor in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of performance management processes, with confidence in guiding managers through sensitive conversations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills– able to adapt your style and get buy-in at all levels.
  • Empathetic andpersonable, building trust and positive relationships with managers and colleagues alike.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused– spotting issues early andtaking actionbefore they escalate.
  • Process-savvy yet pragmatic, balancing compliance with flexibility andpragmatism.
  • Comfortable with ambiguityand able to adapt quickly in a changing environment.
  • Confident with data and systems, ideally experienced with HRIS platforms and using people data to inform decisions.
  • Passionate about EDI and employee wellbeing, with an interest in contributing to initiatives that shape culture.
  • Collaborative team player, happy to roll up your sleeves and support wider People projects.
