About the role: As a Team Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Gardeners’ World brand across editorial, content and commercial activity. This is a varied, fast-paced role where you’ll act as a central point of contact for the team, supporting day-to-day administration, managing brand customer service inboxes, and assisting with brand activity. You’ll work closely with editorial, video, digital and commercial teams, providing essential support that helps the wider team deliver high-quality content and experiences for our audience.

As a Team Assistant you will:
- Provide administrative support to the Gardeners’ World senior team, including diary management, meeting coordination, and departmental events.
- Manage brand customer service inboxes, responding to audience queries in a timely, professional and on-brand manner, and flagging recurring issues or trends to relevant teams.
- Manage editorial and website inboxes, triaging queries and forwarding them to the appropriate teams.
- Support the planning and delivery of brand activity at Gardeners’ World events, including logistics and coordination.
- Process expenses and manage corporate card submissions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with company policies.
- Raise and manage purchase orders, invoices and commission payments, ensuring they are processed efficiently.
- Coordinate travel and accommodation bookings for team members where needed.
- Support the running of competitions, including liaising with PRs, setting up web pages, promoting via social channels and selecting winners.
- Help manage and maintain shared team calendars.
- Support key brand initiatives (e.g. Garden of the Year), including administrative tasks such as handling entries and downloads.
- Maintain internal resources, including updating book logs, requesting materials and helping to manage the GW library and physical archive.
- Help maintain an organised working environment, including managing post, samples and general team resources, and keeping office spaces tidy.
- Organise team activities such as away days and seasonal events.
- Upload and manage basic content or information within internal systems where required.
- Support the team with ad hoc administrative tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative or team assistant role.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling expenses and administrative processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A professional and friendly approach to customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to get involved.
- Interest in gardening, outdoor living or lifestyle content.
