About the Role
The Social Video Editor will sit within Imagine’s video team, supporting the creation and delivery of marketing assets, social-first video content and ads across marketing, commercial and editorial projects. This role predominantly involves adapting and versioning existing in‑house content for different platforms, formats and audiences, with a focus on producing high‑quality, platform‑optimised video for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts. The role will help drive audience growth, subscriptions, brand awareness and revenue, and is key to ensuring content performs effectively across channels and reaches the widest possible audience.
The successful candidate will become the go‑to contact for the subscription marketing workstream, working closely with the Studio Manager to deliver projects efficiently while supporting timelines, resourcing and delivery. They will also need to be strategically aware of business priorities, understand the wider context of their work, and manage and prioritise their workload accordingly. As a fast‑paced and agile business, this role requires someone who can respond quickly and keep up with evolving demands. We are looking for a creative, energetic and ambitious individual who can help drive future projects forward. Content Creation & Execution
- Edit and produce social‑first video content using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with a strong focus on pacing, storytelling and platform best practices.
- Adapt and optimise video content for multiple platforms, formats and campaign needs (including paid and organic), creating variations to support testing and performance.
- Create eye‑catching animations to bring digital, print and app assets to life, enhancing audience engagement.
- Shoot video content using mobile devices, applying social‑first production techniques.
- Support shoots when required, including basic camera operation and lighting setup.
Workflow & Delivery
- Work within established workflows using tools such as Iconik, Lucid, Offshoot and other project management systems.
- Manage multiple briefs and projects simultaneously, delivering work accurately and on time.
- Ensure all content is delivered to spec, on brand and aligned with platform requirements.
- Maintain strong attention to detail across editing, formatting, subtitles and versioning.
- Work closely with the Studio Manager to support workflow, resourcing and delivery.
- Collaborate with design and copy teams to produce high‑quality, engaging and relevant content.
- Understand wider business priorities to effectively manage and prioritise work across departments.
Collaboration & Development
- Actively contribute to brainstorms, generating content ideas and creative solutions that meet stakeholder needs across editorial, sales and central video teams.
- Stay up to date with social video trends, formats and platform updates, applying insights to improve performance and inform new ideas.
- Work closely with social, marketing, editorial and commercial teams to deliver content against briefs.
- Take a proactive, test‑and‑learn approach, experimenting with formats, hooks and edits to continuously improve performance.
Experience
- Editing social‑first video for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
- Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (editing, motion graphics and animation).
- Experience with high‑volume editing and creating multiple versions for different platforms.
- Confident shooting on mobile, with an understanding of social‑first production techniques.
- Familiarity with asset and project management tools (e.g. Iconik, Asana, Monday or similar).
- Basic understanding of video production, including lighting, camera operation and directing talent.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong awareness of social trends and platform best practices.
- Creative, proactive and comfortable testing and experimenting with new formats and approaches.
