Position will serve as a strategic financial leader, responsible for developing and guiding the company’s financial forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, and long-range planning process. You will provide comprehensive, accurate and timely data analytics with recommendations for the Executive leadership team that will drive growth and profitability. The position will also be responsible for leading a small FP&A team and fostering cross-functional collaboration and best practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and execute the annual budget with detailed schedules and meetings to support consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team on monthly and quarterly closing timing, to include calendaring CFO and CEO reviews.
  • Develop comprehensive financial analysis and reporting of key operating metrics (Revenue, EBITDA, Cash flow, & Capital expenditures) in comparison to both the annual operating plan and the long-range forecast.
  • Analyze key operating results and work with the CFO and the Controller in preparing the quarterly and annual Board of Director level financial presentations.
  • Ensure that all financial compliance requirements are identified, tracked and reported upon relative to existing credit agreements, banking, earn-out, M&A, & sponsor agreements.
  • Collaborate with operating company leads and functional leads on budgeting, forecasting, and PSR process.
  • Ensure that any identified gaps, trends, and/or areas of concern relative to financial matters are brought to the Executive leadership’s attention.
  • Effectively mentor and lead the team to include identifying both growth opportunities and development areas for direct reports.
  • Provide timely, accurate and consistent ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as needed.
  • Support annual audits (public accounting, DCAA, GSA, etc.), M&A diligence and post-closing integration efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Has management oversight to the finance support team.
  • Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, providing recommendations for promotion and salary adjustments.
  • Handles or assists with disciplinary actions and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a calm and efficient manner.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, required.
  • MBA and/or CFA designation, highly preferred but not required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in financial management and analysis required, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analytical tools, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Financial software/ERP systems (e.g. Great Plains, Vena, MS Dynamics, Deltek, etc.), and experience with business intelligence software (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Work is primarily conducted indoors in an office and/or home office environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively on a laptop and/or desktop computer.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk; must be able to view computer screen for prolonged periods of time; must be able to enter data using keyboard accurately and efficiently.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via phone, email, text or through online collaboration tools (ZOOM, MS Teams, etc.) with personnel at remote job sites.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 35 pounds at times on an infrequent basis.
  • May be required to climb stairs.
  • Travel via plane, trains, or automobile as required.
  • Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.
