The Housing Needs Officer role within the Place Directorate’s Housing Needs Team is responsible for assessing statutory homelessness applications, delivering proactive prevention and relief services, and managing emergency and temporary accommodation to ensure compliance with legislation such as the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

Responsibilities

  • Strong Case Management.
  • Partnership working with statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • The ability to negotiate sustainable housing solutions while minimizing reliance on temporary accommodation.
  • Creating Personalised Housing Plans.
  • Supporting out-of-hours homelessness services.
  • Maintaining legal compliance.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication.
  • Legal knowledge.
  • IT proficiency.
  • Experience in Housing Options.
  • Experience in Locta Case Management System and the ability to pick up a caseload of statutory applications immediately.

Hours & Pay

  • Monday - Friday
  • The role requires 2 days in the office per week in Warrington Town Centre.
  • 8am - 4pm
  • Starting at £18.24 P/H
  • Weekly Pay whilst through agency.
