IMH Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Private Ambulance Team Leader for our client in Rotherham.

Duties:

  • Serve as the main point of contact and daily coordinator for all transport department drivers.
  • Manage driver schedules, holidays, and cover, minimising reliance on subcontractors or bank staff.
  • Provide driver cover when needed and ensure transport sheets are completed accurately each day.
  • Monitor daily/weekly vehicle checks, review maintenance issues, and maintain planned vehicle maintenance schedules.
  • Support recruitment, training, and professional presentation of drivers.
  • Conduct driver performance assessments and review/update procedures to maintain H&S compliance.
  • Oversee stretcher maintenance and replacement planning.
  • Ensure all business KPIs and targets are met and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience managing or coordinating teams of drivers or transport staff.
  • Skilled in vehicle scheduling and maintenance coordination.
  • Proficient in IT skills and the ability to use different software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high service standards.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and perform under pressure.
  • Proactive team player with a positive attitude.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • A full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle is desirable.

Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am to 4:40pm
  • £15.38 Per hour (£30,000 Annually)
  • Weekly pay whilst through the agency!
  • A permanent position once passed the probation period!
