Duties include
- Delivering and collecting internal mail, print, and IT equipment across Kirklees.
- Sorting and distributing mail between council buildings, schools, and other service locations.
- Driving a council vehicle (including LGV where required).
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely in line with Health & Safety procedures.
- Carrying out basic vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are clean and well maintained.
- Operating print finishing equipment, including folding, inserting, booklet and poster production.
- Handling confidential mail and information securely.
- Providing excellent customer service to internal departments and service users.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience delivering and sorting mail or similar distribution work.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of road safety and Health & Safety procedures.
- Ability to carry out basic vehicle checks (P. O. W. D. E. R.).
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Physically able to lift and move bulky items.
- Flexible approach to working hours and duties.
- Willing to undergo a Basic DBS check and occupational health screening if required.
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Weekly pay via the agency
