Duties include

  • Delivering and collecting internal mail, print, and IT equipment across Kirklees.
  • Sorting and distributing mail between council buildings, schools, and other service locations.
  • Driving a council vehicle (including LGV where required).
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely in line with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Carrying out basic vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are clean and well maintained.
  • Operating print finishing equipment, including folding, inserting, booklet and poster production.
  • Handling confidential mail and information securely.
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal departments and service users.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience delivering and sorting mail or similar distribution work.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of road safety and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Ability to carry out basic vehicle checks (P. O. W. D. E. R.).
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Physically able to lift and move bulky items.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and duties.
  • Willing to undergo a Basic DBS check and occupational health screening if required.

Hours & Pay

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Weekly pay via the agency
