IMH Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Gardeners for our client based in Halifax (HX3).
The Role: You will help maintain and improve Calderdale's parks, green spaces and public areas. This is a physically demanding outdoor role, working in all weather conditions.
Duties Include:
- Grass cutting, strimming and hedge trimming
- General gardening and horticultural maintenance
- Tree and shrub maintenance
- Hard and soft landscaping
- Operating and maintaining gardening machinery
- Keeping work areas clean and tidy
- Completing basic paperwork, including timesheets and vehicle checks
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Working independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
- Referencing covering the last 3 years of employment
- Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) is preferred
- NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent)
- Valid Lantra (or equivalent) certificates for:
- Pedestrian Mower
- Hedge Trimmer
- Strimmer/Brushcutter
- All Lantra certificates must have been completed within the last 3 years
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture or grounds maintenance
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Good understanding of health and safety
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
- £15.00 per hour
- Weekly pay through the agency!
