IMH Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Gardeners for our client based in Halifax (HX3).

The Role: You will help maintain and improve Calderdale's parks, green spaces and public areas. This is a physically demanding outdoor role, working in all weather conditions.

Duties Include:

  • Grass cutting, strimming and hedge trimming
  • General gardening and horticultural maintenance
  • Tree and shrub maintenance
  • Hard and soft landscaping
  • Operating and maintaining gardening machinery
  • Keeping work areas clean and tidy
  • Completing basic paperwork, including timesheets and vehicle checks
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Working independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Referencing covering the last 3 years of employment
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) is preferred
  • NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent)
  • Valid Lantra (or equivalent) certificates for:
    • Pedestrian Mower
    • Hedge Trimmer
    • Strimmer/Brushcutter
  • All Lantra certificates must have been completed within the last 3 years
  • Previous experience in gardening, horticulture or grounds maintenance
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
  • Good understanding of health and safety

Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • £15.00 per hour
  • Weekly pay through the agency!
