IMH Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Electricians for our client in Leicester. The service currently delivers responsive repairs, maintenance and planned works to various council properties and Civic Buildings across the City of Leicester.
A Day in the Life – From a Current LCC Electrician: “I have been provided with all workwear and PPE including steel toe-cap shoes and waterproofs for those rainy days. If anything gets ripped or torn, I receive replacements. Although it is lone working, I have a supportive team and technical help from my team leader whenever I need guidance with complex tasks.”
Duties:
- Carry out domestic electrical works across council properties
- Conduct testing, inspecting, and initial verification
- Lone working with access to full technical support when required
- Use of provided PPE, workwear, and additional tools/van if required
- Complete allocated jobs efficiently and safely in line with regulations
- Attend an electrical assessment with a QC (up to 3 hours, usually less)
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
- Inspecting & Testing – Initial Verification Module
- Domestic electrical experience
- Testing experience essential
- Full valid UK driving licence
- Ability to provide your own hand tools (other tools supplied if needed)
Hours & Pay:
- £16.91 to £18.16 per hour
- Monday–Friday (flexible to Monday–Thursday)
- Mon–Thurs: 08:00 – 16:00
- Friday: 08:00 – 15:30
- Temp to Perm after 13 weeks
