The H&S / Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and compliance across all sites. The role requires a proactive, positive, and open-minded approach to continuously improve H&S standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain H&S and compliance standards across all sites
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to meet legal and company requirements
- Provide training and support to staff to maintain H&S culture
- Liaise with regulators and external bodies as required
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in health, safety, and environmental management
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a heavy industry environment (waste & recycling, mining, quarrying, or similar)
- NEBOSH General Certificate or above (mandatory)
- Environmental qualification such as WAMITAB Level 4 (desirable)
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence positive change
- Confident, proactive, and solutions-focused

- Working hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
- Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
