IMH Recruitment are seeking experienced and passionate Early Years Practitioners to join our client’s Family Hub Childcare Settings in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated childcare professionals with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent qualification) to play a vital role in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise children during play (indoor/outdoor) and mealtimes, supporting independence while providing care.
- Contribute to planning, delivering, and evaluating activities in line with current curriculum frameworks.
- Take responsibility for tracking and assessing the progress of key children, setting individual learning targets.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that respects cultural diversity and individual needs.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and partner agencies, supporting engagement in the centre’s work.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to children’s development and centre activities.
- Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, hygiene, equality, and data protection policies.
- Support the smooth running of the centre, including setting up and tidying away equipment and resources.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Experience working with children aged 0–5 years in a childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development and good practice in early years education.
- Understanding of legislation and initiatives affecting young children and families.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references are essential.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 4:15pm
- £13.26 Per Hour.
- Weekly pay whilst through the agency!
