The VP, Technology – Studios is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and delivering the technology strategy across IMG’s studio environments. The role focuses on platforms, architecture, engineering strategy, and transformation, ensuring scalable, resilient, and future‑ready technology capabilities that support global production and client delivery.

Operating at VP level, this role works in close partnership with Technical Operations, Production, Commercial, and Transformation teams to modernise technology platforms, enable new capabilities, and support long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Technology Strategy & Architecture
    • Define and own the technology strategy for IMG Studios, aligned to business, production, and client requirements
    • Lead architectural direction across media platforms, infrastructure, networks, and broadcast systems
    • Drive standardisation and simplification of technology stacks across the Studios environment
  • Platform Ownership & Engineering
    • Own the design, build, and evolution of core technology platforms (on‑prem and cloud)
    • Lead teams across solutions architecture, platforms, networks, and engineering
    • Ensure systems are designed for scalability, resilience, and long-term maintainability
  • Transformation & Delivery
    • Lead major technology programmes and transformation initiatives across Studios
    • Drive modernisation of media workflows, platform automation, and software-defined infrastructure
    • Oversee delivery of complex, multi‑stakeholder technical projects
  • Innovation & Future Capability
    • Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance production capabilities and client offering
    • Drive adoption of new tooling, workflows, and platform innovations
    • Ensure the Studios technology roadmap supports future client and market needs
  • Commercial & Client Enablement
    • Partner with Commercial and Business Development teams to shape technical solutions for bids and client propositions
    • Support client engagement where technology strategy and capability are critical
    • Ensure platforms enable delivery of high-value, scalable client services
  • Governance & Standards
    • Define technology standards, governance, and best practices across Studios
    • Ensure alignment with wider group technology strategy and policies
    • Oversee security, compliance, and risk within technology design and implementation
  • People Leadership
    • Lead and develop high-performing engineering, architecture, and platform teams
    • Build capability in architecture, software-defined infrastructure, and modern media systems
    • Create a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder & Client Engagement
    • Partner closely with Senior Leadership Team to ensure strong alignment between design and delivery
    • Work with Production, Operations, Facilities, and Digital teams to align technology to operational needs
    • Engage with vendors, partners, and clients to shape future technology direction

Knowledge and Experience

  • Senior leadership experience in media, broadcast, or enterprise technology environments
  • Strong background in platform architecture, networks, infrastructure, and modern media systems
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale technology transformation programmes
  • Deep understanding of cloud, hybrid infrastructure, and software-defined workflows
  • Commercial awareness and ability to support client-focused technology solutions
  • Strong communication skills, operating effectively at executive level

Role Scope & Impact

  • Full ownership of technology strategy, platforms, and architecture across IMG Studios
  • Drives modernisation, innovation, and long-term technical roadmap
  • Directly enables client growth, scalability, and future services capability

Working Conditions

  • This is a permanent position
  • This role will be based at Stockley Park.
  • Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
  • May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings, or to industry events.
