Overview

At IMG, our Studios business uses content and technology to power the world\'s passion for sport, working with global clients including The Premier League, The R&A, DP World Tour, Euroleague Basketball and Major League Soccer. We have built Europe\'s best-connected broadcast centre at Stockley Park, London, distributing 35,000 hours of content globally and creating some of the world\'s best sporting coverage. Our facilities include four broadcast studios, fifty edit suites and a multitude of radio, podcast, dubbing and VFX facilities, with specialisms in remote production and carbon reduction thanks to our Green to Screen initiative. Whether it\'s live coverage, archive, highlights, social media, branded content or feature films, we give the audience a front row seat to the best sport in the world.

What You’ll Do

As a Technical Operator at IMG Studios, you will be part of a team that provides media ingest, file delivery, media management and edit suite support to all creative production teams. You will deliver front‑line editing support to all IMG productions, manage ingest and delivery workflows, liaise with the MSA Shift Manager, report equipment issues, and support projects from ingest to delivery. You will work in a client‑facing role, communicating clearly and supporting productions on tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure media is ingested, formatted, and delivered correctly based on client specification.
  • Transfer, archive, and duplicate analogue and digital assets across a variety of formats.
  • Organise and record live programming.
  • Provide front‑line edit suite support.
  • Liaise with the MSA Shift Manager about deadlines and workflow decisions.
  • Report any equipment issues within the MSA department.
  • Carry out any other duties within the scope and purpose of the job.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Avid / Adobe Premiere.
  • Previous experience working in a technical role in either a Broadcast or Post‑production environment.
  • Good understanding of file‑based workflows.
  • Broad knowledge of industry standard file formats and codecs and their uses.
  • Good understanding of the post‑production process.
  • Experience with encoding software, such as Media Encoder, Content Agent, Vantage and GV File/Snell.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Use of own initiative and ability to work well as part of a team and alone without close supervision.
  • Previous experience of working to tight deadlines and working effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Contract Details

  • 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
  • Shift‑based, 12‑hour days, weekend work included.
  • Shift pattern: Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday.
