Role Overview

This role sits within the Strategy & Growth team, focusing on internal strategic planning, SLT reporting, initiative tracking and ensuring that the business is joined up. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, business unit heads, the SVP & Senior Director of Strategy & Growth, and IMG’s Operations and Finance teams. The ideal candidate thrives on making business work better, turning plans into action and ensuring senior leaders have the information they need to make decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive IMG’s strategic plan forward, tracking performance of each business unit against commitments, holding teams accountable and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support the annual strategy planning process, structuring the firm‑wide cycle, synthesizing SLT inputs, shaping priorities, and stress‑testing the direction.
  • Lead production of SLT updates and strategy reviews, ensuring high quality and useful content.
  • Collaborate with each SLT member on their strategic initiatives, clarifying plans, challenging assumptions and following through to execution.
  • Work with Finance to develop regular progress updates, providing visibility on tracking, risks and gaps.
  • Respond to ad‑hoc strategic questions, such as sizing new market opportunities, building investment cases or addressing organisational queries.
  • Prepare briefing materials for the President ahead of key internal and external engagements.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 4–7 years in strategy consulting (MBB or equivalent) or in a corporate strategy function, ideally within media, entertainment or sports.
  • Strong delivery leadership – comfortable overseeing multiple initiatives, anticipating risks, unblocking issues and maintaining momentum without constant supervision.
  • Experience crafting SLT‑level materials and working directly with senior leadership.
  • Comfort with numbers – capable of building growth models, dissecting P&L and evaluating business cases.
  • Experience navigating change (transformation, integration or growth) within a business.

Skills & Abilities

  • Clear thinking – simplify messy problems and explain what matters.
  • Strong judgement around people and politics – know when to push, when to listen and how to add value without overstepping.
  • Self‑starter – take vague questions and transform them into structured work.
  • Excellent writing – produce concise, executive‑level content that is read.
  • Advanced financial modelling – build analysis personally and lead others to do so.
  • Pragmatic – prioritize useful output over perfection.
  • Experience in sports, media or entertainment.
  • Understanding of professional services commercial model.
  • Familiarity with multi‑business‑unit or holding‑company structures.
  • MBA preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Permanent position.
  • Working hours 9:00–17:00, Monday to Friday.
  • Based at Chiswick Park.
  • Travel may be required to industry events and on‑site work during events.
  • Unsocial hours may be required to meet business demands or deadlines.
  • Adaptation to new systems and technology as appropriate.
