What You'll Do
Acting as the link between the Head of Finance and the production management team. The main focus of this role is to help manage ETP's Β£45m+ production spend on its 50+ Live and Non-Live events/programmes each year.
- Production Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting
- Working alongside the production management team this role is responsible for overseeing the production budgeting process by:
- Co-ordinating and managing the preparation of accurate, detailed and timely event budgets. Including creating/maintaining the budget templates and their rate cards & data sheets.
- Assisting the production management team with any budgeting queries.
- Monitoring performance vs. budgets on a regular basis including variance analysis.
- Reviewing and reporting the event costs in accordance with strict deadlines at month end. Including reviewing & correcting the ledger to ensure all coding is accurate.
- Review future event budgets to assist in the compilation of monthly rolling forecasts.
- Reporting the results to the Head of Finance and departmental management.
- Escalating any financial issues to the Head of Finance and departmental management.
- Production Purchases & Cash Flow Forecasting
- Ensuring all production purchases comply with applicable company, tax and other legal/government regulations. Specific tasks will include:
- Reviewing and authorising invoices in line with ETP authorisation levels.
- Reviewing and authorising weekly staff per diem payments.
- Assist Production Managers to ensure supplier payment queries are resolved and paid in a timely fashion.

- Producing ad-hoc financial analysis for Head of Finance as required.
- Training new Productions Managers on the Budget processes.
- Reviewing and posting journals for Production Managers.
- Assisting the production management team with ad-hoc finance queries.
You Have These
- Educated to degree level.
- ACCA/CIMA part or newly qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience of providing finance support within a commercial environment.
- Highly proficient in Excel - able to create and use pivot tables/budget templates/formulas and help others use the programme.
- Proficient with MS Word and Outlook.
- Highly numerate.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- An Interest in the production industry.
