Working Conditions:

  • Reports To: Lead Manager – Media Services Area
  • Hours of Work: Shift pattern, 7 day fortnight - Average 40 hours per week
  • Contract Type / Length: Permanent Contract
  • Location: Stockley Park, West London, UB11 1FE
  • Unusual Challenges or Circumstances: Position is shift based, which includes weekends / public holidays. Shifts are 12hrs, 07-19, 10-22, 13-01.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

As one of our Technical Operators, you will be working as part of a team to provide media ingest, file delivery, media management and edit suite support to all creative production teams. You will need strong communication and personal skills as this role is client facing and you will be working with productions to support their projects from ingest to delivery.

We are looking for someone with exceptional attention to detail and a positive, proactive outlook. Previous experience of working in a technical role in either a Broadcast or post-production environment is preferable, and the understanding of editing and file-based media management / workflows would be a distinct advantage. However, specific training will be provided.

The Media Services Area (MSA) at IMG Studios serves as the hub for all ingest, recording, editing/operational support, media management and file transcode and delivery, using the latest industry standard equipment. The department is staffed 7 days a week, 18 hours a day. Our role as a department is to provide front line editing support to all of IMG productions, whilst carrying out all tasks requested to the client’s specification in a timely manner. Ensuring that all media is ingested, formatted, and delivered correctly based on client’s specification.
