What You’ll Do

Premier League Productions (PLP)are proud to be the production partner to the most watched football league in the world. Globally, we broadcast to serve over 100 broadcast partners and our work is available in over 900 million homes across the world. Our wide array of high-quality output includes live matches, digitalcontent, studio shows, promos and magazine programming, all delivered across multiple platforms.

As an Editorial Assistant in PLP’s Live Football production team, you’ll be right at the heart of bringing the game to a global audience. No two days are the same — during the week you’ll edit VTs, plan and research features, and make sure content is ready for World Feed delivery. On matchdays, you’ll be hands-on in the live gallery and studio environment, managing feeds, logging rushes, and distributing content in real time.

You’ll work closely with Producers and senior editorial staff, supporting the smooth running of live football coverage while keeping broadcast partners updated with the latest information. From organising ENG and feature shoots to ensuring compliance standards are met, you’ll gain experience across the full spectrum of live sports production.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a fixed-term contract until May 2026 based our facility in Stockley Park, Uxbridge. This position is will include regular weekend and evening work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Part of PLP’s Live Football Dept production team working across many aspects of live gallery and all additional feed outputs
  • Assisting on the editorial production (plan, research and edit) of VT’s for World Feed delivery
  • Working alongside Producer & Senior staff to update and deliver relevant information/documentation to the wider department and broadcast partners
  • To log, select and distribute rushes via various live feeds
  • To co–ordinate and/or work in a live studio environment
  • To organise and lead occasional basic ENG and Feature shoots
  • Responsible for adhering to compliance guidelines for broadcasters/clients as appropriate
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job

You will have the following strengths

  • Experience of logging rushes and selecting material for edits/feeds
  • Understanding of the workings of a live gallery environment
  • Excellent knowledge of the Premier League
  • Good general sports knowledge
  • Understanding of IPD and EVS systems
  • Understanding and experience of non-linear edit systems

We’d Love If You Also Have These

  • Experience on a wide range of sports programming, including live OB’s, quick-turnaround highlights, documentaries, magazine shows
  • Self-editing capability with Avid, Adobe and/or FCP
  • Experience of using IPD & EVS systems
  • Experience of dealing with an Onscreen team (e.g. presenters, commentators, sports stars)
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong editorial sense for stories
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent customer focus skills (representing the face of the company/programme to the public/potential contributors)
  • Understanding and experience of non-linear edit systems
  • Self-editing capability with Avid, Premiere, FCP, etc.
  • Shooting on digital formats
