We are looking for a passionate & talented Creative Graphic Designer, ideally with an interest in golf and the wider sporting landscape. Your work will be published across The R&A’s owned and operated brand and amateur digital channels, from social media through to website and email communications.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Drive end-to-end creative development – Ideation through to delivery
- Support the wider R&A content team through the creation of innovative ideas and hygiene graphics, digital campaigns and branding
- Ideate and develop concepts in collaboration with the content team and account managers
- Bring a ‘producer mindset’, exploring creative ways to drive engagement
- Produce engaging designs, graphic elements and visual treatments
- Work with the wider content team to ensure all briefs are clear, concise, and aligned, making sure reasonable timelines are set and output is delivered on time
- Good communication across project leads and ability to manage upwards
- Ensure brand continuity is delivered through content visuals across our various amateur brands
- Support the wider marketing and brand function where required
- Be required to work occasional weekends and extra hours as required, particularly during The Open, AIG Women’s Open and amateur events when you will need to be available to work the entire week(s)

- Ability to communicate ideas clearly (both visually and verbally) with both internal and external presentations
- Great attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a drive to develop. They should be aware of current design trends and be able to offer innovative ideas
- Good time management when working towards conflicting deadlines
- Confidence to initiate design ideas, communicate clearly and ask questions
- Attention to detail, ensuring to maintain high quality standards
- Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative to drive creative thinking
- Ability to collaborate and work both independently and alongside team members
- Confident to work independently over a range of design aspects across a diverse range of clients
- Open-minded and receptive to feedback
Knowledge And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in design required or equivalent experience
- A portfolio which demonstrates high levels of creativity
- Advanced skills in Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects and Illustrator. PowerPoint as a plus
- The ability to work with templates and style guides to deliver high-quality creative
- Background and interest in the sports industry and its design trends
- Work that demonstrates an ability to experiment, develop and resolve authentic creative outputs
- Golf specific knowledge (desirable)
- Understanding of live graphics design process and implementation
- Basic ability of and interest in motion design
- Basic ability of and interest in editing short-form vertical video
- Working knowledge of AI related to the field and how it can support in the delivery of the role
Working Conditions
- This is a permanent position. This role will be based at Chiswick Park.
- Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
- May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
- Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
- Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
