Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- As part of the Channels Team, you will support the Operations Manager and the wider team across all aspects of planning, playlists and media coordination on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of it going permanent.
- Ensure short and long form media is received and processed in time for TX.
- Data entry of short and long form media into Provys, paying particular attention to ensure designated channel rights, validity dates and media IDs are all assigned correctly.
- Input planning schedules into Provys, attaching break patterns and following up any planning discrepancies with clients.
- Populate and maintain the short form make list and advert docs.
- Support the Operations manager with the incoming delivery of all content and acquire up to date event information, promotional assets, and program deliverables.
- Check playlists prior to release for any missing media, source and deliver to TX and playout portal.
- Using the scheduling database, run reports on presentation schedules and media as required.
- Understanding of workflows, ensuring media is scheduled and managed through to transmission and archive.
- Ad hoc duties e.g. covering Planning and Presentation Schedulers holidays/sickness.
- You may also be required to carry out any other duties within the Channels Team, which are within the scope and purpose of the job.
Skills and Abilities
- Mandatory: Proficient in using Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
- Good working knowledge of Scheduling systems.
- Experience of working to TX deadlines & able to manage multiple demands.
- Excellent time management - reliable and punctual.
- Skilled in accuracy and attention to detail.
- Skilled team player and capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work well and adapt to the inevitable challenges in a live Sports environment.
- Positive, professional and keen approach to work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of Provys Scheduling system or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience
- Mandatory: Previous experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of scheduling process from planning to broadcast.
- Understanding of presentation media types and break formats.
- Experience of working with broadcasters, understanding of TV industry.
- Knowledge of file formats.
Desirable:
- Interest in all sports, domestic and international.
Working Conditions
- This is a 6 month contract with the possibility of it going permanent.
- This role will be based at Stockley Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate.
- Working hours are 9:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
- Working during typical holiday periods (Easter/Christmas).
- May require late start/finishes and weekend working where applicable.
- Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate.
