Responsibilities
- Facilitate timely collection and processing of royalty statements and sales projections from licensees, ensuring accurate invoices of royalties are raised and shared with licensees.
- Ensure client payments are accurate, complete and sent in a timely manner, and fulfil IMG’s reporting obligations as per Client Representation Agreements.
- Monitor receivables and liaise with IMG’s Credit Control and Licensing Commercial teams to achieve timely collection of royalties.
- Assist with internal financial queries as well as those from licensees, clients and auditors when required (e.g., process structure, required documentation, calculation breakdowns).
- Monitor and provide analysis on overhead cost.
- Post month‑end journals, including revenue/cost accruals, bad debt provisions and write‑offs.
- Perform reconciliations and assist with monthly management reports (COS and G&A analysis, reserve analysis, revenue variances).
- Assist senior finance team with preparing quarterly royalty projections and analysis.
- Continuously seek process improvements.
- Provide absence cover for other members of the Finance Team.
- Support the Finance Team with ad‑hoc analysis and reports.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience (desirable): licensing/handling royalties, translating contractual terms, experience of finance business partnering, and accounting/AP/AR experiences. Japanese or Mandarin speakers preferred.
- Training, skills and abilities: degree level or equivalent; strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate well with a broad spectrum of international and domestic clients; high attention to detail, accurate and analytical; ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload; high level of numeracy; intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, etc.).
