At IMG, our Studios business uses content and technology to power the world's passion for sport, working with global clients including The Premier League, The R&A, DP World Tour, Euroleague Basketball and Major League Soccer. We've built Europe's best-connected broadcast centre at Stockley Park, London, distributing 35,000 hours of content globally and creating some of the world's best sporting coverage. Our facilities include four broadcast studios, fifty edit suites and a multitude of radio, podcast, dubbing and VFX facilities, with specialisms in remote production and carbon reduction thanks to our Green to Screen initiative.
The IMG Broadcast IT team is responsible for supporting and maintaining the IT infrastructure for the Stockley Park TV production and broadcasting environment. We are looking for a Broadcast IT Lead Network Engineer to focus on designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining the current network environment. This role requires close collaboration with the Broadcast IT team, Broadcast Engineering teams, Production Services, as well as other subject matter experts and vendors. By joining this team, you’ll work with one of the world’s leading entertainment, sports, and fashion organizations, with opportunities to learn and grow your skills in a truly global company.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a permanent full-time role based at our facility in Stockley Park, Uxbridge. The working hours are 8-hour shifts Monday- Friday and you will be required to work weekends once every five weeks. Due to the nature of this role, there is no flexibility to work from home.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
- Scope define and design solutions for new and existing network projects and workflows.
- Liaise with external and internal system integrators, vendors, SMEs and stakeholders.
- Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing.
- Maintain overall network Infrastructure and assign responsibilities within the network team to fulfill daily tasks and projects.
- Plan, document, and implement all network related infrastructure projects.
- Ensure current staff is fully utilized and operating effectively and efficiently.
- Assist in preparation and execution of network projects.
- Manage technical delivery and ensure all technical operations run smoothly.
- Provide projects and troubleshooting assistance to Broadcast and Engineering teams and suppliers to assure timely completion.
You Will Have The Following Strengths:
- Strong interest in Broadcast Engineering technologies (VizOne, Avid, EVS, workflows, Post-Production, content delivery, VoD).
- Cisco Network qualification such as CCNP.
- In-depth knowledge of video/audio compression, transport streams, encoding, and transmission protocols.
- Understanding and troubleshooting broadcast systems such as automation systems, routing switchers, broadcast servers, and video/audio mixers.
- Strong experience of architecting and delivering network solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking and network design.
- Knowledge and experience of Windows, Linux Server and Storage Area Networks.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including firewall configurations, network segmentation, and secure access controls.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto, Cisco FTD firewalls and FMC.
- Familiarity with network protocols, IP video delivery, and cloud-based broadcast solutions.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex network issues including network congestion, security issues, and hardware failures.
- Experience with Multicast for Nexus and Catalyst switches.
- Familiarity with IPTV systems.
- Understanding of Cloud solutions.
- Experience with configuring, maintenance and troubleshooting Cisco firewalls, routers and switches.
- Experience with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, static routing, access lists, NAT, VPN (IPsec and SSL).
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, AD, Linux or PowerShell Scripting.
