Job Description An NHS community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in London is looking for a Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with an interest in Neurodevelopment.
The CAMHS department comprises a team of consultant psychiatrists supported by a large multidisciplinary team of middle grade doctors and allied health professionals.
This Child and Adolescent Psychiatry job is open to both international applications and UK-based doctors, though those with European Specialist training or MRCPsych are most encouraged to apply.
Anyone requiring portfolio support (formally known as CESR) can have their required support discussed on a case by case basis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILSApplicants must hold a Primary Medical Degree, Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practise, with at least four years of full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent), including a minimum of two years in a relevant psychiatry training programme or equivalent experience.
Doctors with an interest in Neurodevelopment, ADHD and Autism assessments, and Child & Adolescent Mental Health should apply.
The salary will be between 59,175 - 95,400 per annum depending on experience.
CORE DUTIES OF THIS ROLEUndertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments, formulation, diagnosis and treatment planning for children and adolescents, with a particular focus on neurodevelopmental presentations including ADHD and Autism.
Provide prescribing, medication reviews and ongoing clinical management while working closely with consultant psychiatrists and the multidisciplinary CAMHS team.
Participate in CAMHS multidisciplinary meetings, duty psychiatry, risk assessments and liaison with paediatric services, schools and partner agencies.
Contribute to teaching, clinical governance, audit, quality improvement projects and continuing professional development within the service.
