Location: St Austell, Cornwall
Salary: £35,832.55 per annum DOE, Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) allowance of £1,773.04 and ADR allowance of £1,156.87 on completion of training
The role
ReClaym Ltd, part of the Imerys group, is seeking a Technical Operator to support the safe and compliant operation of its Blackpool ReClaym Plant. This is a hands-on operational role within a highly regulated industrial environment, supporting daily plant operations and ensuring compliance with environmental, safety and legal requirements.
You will assist with plant operations, maintenance and compliance activities and undertake specialist training to fulfil the role of Radiation Protection Supervisor.
Key responsibilities
- Support day-to-day plant operations in line with production plans
- Carry out technical tasks including UHP water jetting, material preparation and monitoring
- Support inspection, monitoring and maintenance activities to minimise downtime
- Complete monitoring and compliance documentation accurately and on time
- Assist with sampling, testing and assaying activities
- Support customer inventory collection activities
- Undertake the Radiation Protection Supervisor role following completion of training
What we are looking for
This role would suit a Technical Operator or Process Technician with experience in an Engineering or industrial processing environment. You will be safety-focused, reliable and comfortable working to procedures within a regulated setting. A willingness to undertake specialist training and develop technical skills is essential. A HGV license would be advantageous for this position.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to operational challenges and a commitment to maintaining high standards of environmental and safety compliance.
