About the role
We are recruiting a Mechanical / Centrifuge Chargehand to support maintenance of centrifuges, grinders and plant equipment at Drinnick Stores. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on maintenance, reliability and safety.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
- Diagnose faults on plant equipment
- Support breakdown response
- Supervise a small engineering team
- Coordinate contractors and site activities
- Support installation and improvement projects
- Manage work orders and maintenance records (SAP)
- Ensure compliance with HSE and site procedures
Requirements
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial maintenance experience
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Experience with SAP or similar system
- Strong safety awareness
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience with centrifuges or similar equipment
- Supervisory experience
- Welding skills
