The predicted salary is between 35000 - 70000 £ per year.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (between the hours of 7am and 4pm) (Flexibility is required).
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience with an annual performance-based bonus of up to 10%.

The job role: You will be responsible for the day-to-day quarry operation across our quarries in the local area, leading the team to meet volume and quality targets. The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that market requirements, EHS, quality, consistency, volume and dispatch promptness are met and accomplished in compliance with SOP.
- Budget and cost control whilst striving through continuous improvements to identify methods to reduce costs and improve service levels.
- Ensuring long term and strategic development of the quarry either through direct management of the site’s mineral reserves and resources or working closely with the industrial hubs and other business areas.

You will:
- Have previous experience of working within a quarry with practical and proven knowledge of managing open cast mining operations involving heavy earth moving machines.
The right candidate will:
- Have an NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Quarrying OR University Diploma (or equivalent) in Mineral Extractive Studies.
- Have experience of working within a role that requires compliance with Section 8.1(c) of the Quarries Regulations.
- Be legally able to drive in the UK.
- Be proficient in the use of IT.
- Have experience in leading, managing, developing and motivating a team.
