Processing Operative – Day shift (Monday to Friday). This role operates shredding, blending, and milling plant equipment including a front‑end loader and mobile plant, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and collaborating with production and maintenance teams.
Responsibilities
- Operate shredding and blending equipment safely.
- Operate front‑end loader for the majority of the shift while performing regular equipment and process checks.
- Complete pre‑shift inspections and operate mobile plant (FLT training provided).
- Perform level‑one maintenance and report equipment defects.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Meet production deadlines and ensure product quality.
- Follow all HSE protocols and report incidents promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
- You are a reliable, safety‑focused operative with hands‑on industrial experience, confident operating loading shovels and plant equipment, who works well independently, maintains excellent housekeeping standards, and contributes to a safe, efficient production environment.
- Valid loading shovel licence.
- Valid driving licence.
- Good numeracy, literacy and IT competence.
- Understanding of health, safety and environmental protocols.
- Industrial experience preferred.
- Safety‑focused with strong communication skills.
Position Details
- Position type: Full time, permanent.
- Hours: 37.5 per week, day shift only.
- Shift pattern: 6 am‑2 pm and 2 pm‑10 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Salary: £27,573.14 per annum + £1,918.80 shift allowance.
