Salary: up to £35,457.87 DOE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the role
We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team at Cliffe Vale, Stoke-on-Trent.
This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working across both mechanical and electrical systems, helping to keep our processing plant running at optimum performance.
You’ll play a key role in delivering planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns quickly and effectively, and supporting plant upgrades and improvement projects.
What you’ll be doing
Keeping the plant running
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical equipment
Fault finding and resolving issues quickly to reduce downtime
Working on a range of plant including pumps, motors, conveyors, fans, filters and mills
Improving performance
Supporting equipment upgrades, installations and improvement projects
Identifying root causes of breakdowns and helping prevent repeat issues
Recording work and contributing to continuous improvement
Planning & teamwork
Coordinating with supervisors to plan maintenance and shutdown work
Making sure parts and resources are available when needed
Working collaboratively within a close-knit engineering team
Working safely
Following Imerys safety standards, permits and procedures
Completing risk assessments and maintaining safe working practices
Keeping work areas clean, organised and compliant

What you’ll bring
Essential
Engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent apprenticeship)
Experience with planned maintenance and breakdown response
Strong commitment to health & safety
Valid license to drive in the UK
Desirable
Multi-skilled experience across mechanical and electrical systems
Mobile plant licences (e.g. forklift, MEWP, telehandler)
Welding or fabrication skills
Confined space training
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP
