The Position Laboratory Technician Job Summary Role: Laboratory Technician - 12 months FTC Location: Par Moor Centre, Par Moor Road, Par, Cornwall, PL24 2SQ Hours of work including shift pattern: 38.5 hours per week, 12-hour rotational Day and Night shift pattern:
- Week 1 = 7am - 7pm working Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Weds and Thu off)
- Week 2 = 7am - 7pm working Weds and Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)
- Week 3 = 7pm β 7am working Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Weds and Thu off)
- Week 4 = 7pm β 7am working Weds and Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)

The job role:
- Perform routine quality control testing using approved methods and procedures.
- Accurately enter and report test results in the LIMS database.
- Identify, report, and act on any issues affecting test accuracy or sample integrity.
- Test internal reference samples and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Adhere to ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards and all Health & Safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised laboratory environment in line with 5S principles.
- Conduct safety assessments and follow risk and COSHH guidance.
