Job Summary: Lead the pediatric pulmonary medicine team as a consultant, providing specialized respiratory care. You will be responsible for providing expert medical care to patients with pulmonary disorders, including but not limited to asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, and respiratory infections. You will coordinate with other medical professionals to enhance respiratory services and drive the development of advanced pulmonary care at our prestigious hospital.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in this area of medicine.
- Provide consultative service as requested.
- Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
- Actively participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in your area of expertise.
- Participate in research activities.
- Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
- Perform special procedures as privileged.
- Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
- Completion of required period of training in Pediatric Pulmonology.
- Western Board certification in the relevant medical pediatric pulmonology is typically required or equivalent.
- Membership and/or Fellowship or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
- Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years post Board/Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
