We are currently seeking Registered Managers to join small, nurturing children's residential homes (3-4 bed, supporting 1-2 children per home) specialising in EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties). This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Residential Childcare professionals to step into a leadership role and shape high-quality care and support for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a children's residential home.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and all relevant safeguarding and childcare standards.
  • Manage staff supervisions, training, and development.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children and young people.
  • Take responsibility for inspections, whistleblowing procedures, and safeguarding practices.
  • Participate in call-outs as required (flexibility is essential).
  • Opportunity to progress into a Dual Registered Manager role (with salary uplift).

Requirements

  • Essential: Residential childcare experience (not supported living, hospital, or CQC).
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up.
  • Level 5 Leadership in Children's Residential Care (or working towards, with minimum Level 3-4).
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and the responsibilities of a Registered Manager.
  • Flexible, resilient, and committed to the needs of children and young people.
  • Must hold a full clean driving licence (manual preferred) and be a confident driver.
  • Must have a clean DBS and Right to Work in the UK.

Hours & Benefits

  • Core hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm (with flexibility for call-outs).
  • Flexible / Hybrid working available after 6 months (must remain available for emergencies).
  • Competitive salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE), plus progression opportunities.
