Location: Northampton

Salary: £35,000 per annum (£29,120 base + approx. £6,000 sleep-ins)

Shift Pattern: 1 on / 2 off – 8:00am–11:00pm followed by sleep-in (24-hour shift total)

Opportunity

IMC Locums are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join a children’s residential home in Northampton. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for either an experienced Support Worker seeking progression or an established Senior looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and act as a role model for the staff team.
  • Support children and young people with their emotional, social, and educational needs.
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
  • Assist with care planning, safeguarding, and incident reporting.
  • Promote independence and life skills in line with individual care plans.
  • Undertake sleep-in duties as part of the rota.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Childcare/Young People (essential). Level 2 considered if currently working towards Level 3/4.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ residential childcare experience.
  • Confident car driver (manual preferred), comfortable with motorways and night driving.
  • Clean DBS and valid right to work in the UK.
