IMC Locums are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join a children’s residential home in Northampton. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for either an experienced Support Worker seeking progression or an established Senior looking for a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and act as a role model for the staff team.
- Support children and young people with their emotional, social, and educational needs.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
- Assist with care planning, safeguarding, and incident reporting.
- Promote independence and life skills in line with individual care plans.
- Undertake sleep-in duties as part of the rota.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Childcare/Young People (essential). Level 2 considered if currently working towards Level 3/4.
- Minimum of 2 years’ residential childcare experience.
- Confident car driver (manual preferred), comfortable with motorways and night driving.
- Clean DBS and valid right to work in the UK.
