Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Imaging Department (24 Hours per Week)

Hours: 24 hours per week (weekends ONLY)

Contract Type: Permanent / Part-time

About The Role

As part of our busy hospital imaging department, you’ll play a vital role in supporting radiographers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting patients before, during, and after imaging procedures (e.g., MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound).
  • Preparing and maintaining clinical areas and equipment.
  • Supporting infection control and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Performing administrative duties such as patient preparation, data entry, and record-keeping.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, organised, and thrives in a clinical environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant within a hospital or imaging setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A patient-focused approach with attention to detail.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of imaging procedures and patient pathways.
