IMC Locums are looking for an experienced Band 7 Motor Neurone Disease Specialist Practitioner/Nurse Specialist to work in our reputable NHS trust across Berkshire.
The Role
- To lead on the care and service delivery for patients with motor neurone disease. This will include reviewing patients with new diagnosis, co-ordinating care with the multi-disciplinary team and being the main point of contact for patients.
- You will be key in supporting patients at their home or when admitted to hospital with deterioration of symptoms and developing services to support these patients to reduce the likelihood of admissions/readmissions where appropriate.
- This role is Monday to Friday 9-5, 37.5 hours per week.
Essential Experience
- Experience of caring for patients with neurological disorders, respiratory failure, nutritional requirements, swallowing difficulties and progressive neurological term conditions.
- Evidence of managing neurological disorder in the community or hospital setting.
- Full Driving License and access to a car to travel across sites for clinics and domiciliary.
Position Requirements
- NMC registration.
- Previous clinical experience performing a similar role in the NHS.
- Enhanced DBS.
