At IMC Construction, our Superintendents are responsible for leading the jobsite and making sure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to plan. You’ll be the point person in the field, coordinating trades, managing schedules, and ensuring quality from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in running a jobsite, leading teams, and driving projects to completion, while continuing to grow within the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Field Operations: Oversee all day-to-day jobsite activities, including supervision of Field Engineers, Assistant Superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Drive the Schedule: Develop and manage the project schedule, including Three Week Look Ahead plans. Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, and material deliveries to keep the project on track and maintain momentum.
  • Coordinate Trades & Execution: Manage sequencing of work across all trades and ensure proper coordination throughout the project. Communicate expectations clearly and hold teams accountable to project timelines and standards.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Implement and enforce project-specific quality control processes. Ensure all work meets IMC standards and contract requirements, with a strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Reinforce Safety Standards: Lead by example in upholding IMC’s “Safety First” culture. Ensure safety protocols are followed across the jobsite and that all teams are working in a safe and well-managed environment.
  • Manage Site Logistics: Develop and maintain site logistics and temporary facilities plans. Ensure the jobsite remains organized, efficient, and properly staged throughout all phases of construction.
  • Oversee Inspections & Compliance: Coordinate all required inspections and testing, including third-party agencies. Ensure compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and company standards.
  • Track & Document Field Activity: Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and as-built records. Monitor progress and ensure proper reporting across all field activities.
  • Lead & Develop Field Teams: Supervise, develop, coach and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns. Provide guidance, support, and feedback to help build a strong field team.

Skills & Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in field operations.
  • Trade background, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on construction experience preferred (4-year degree a plus, not required).
  • Proven ability to lead and manage jobsite teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience managing site logistics, quality control, and field execution.
  • Familiarity with construction software (Procore, Primavera/P6, Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
