This role goes beyond managing day-to-day project operations; Senior Project Managers are expected to lead strategically, mentor others, and play a key role in the overall success and growth of the organization. What You’ll Do

  • Lead Projects from Start to Finish: Provide overall leadership and direction for projects from preconstruction through closeout. Ensure alignment between scope, budget, schedule, quality, and client expectations while proactively identifying and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive Project Strategy & Execution: Lead project planning efforts, including buyout strategy, scheduling, staffing, logistics, and execution planning. Work closely with field leadership to maintain project momentum and ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage Financial Performance: Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, subcontract management, change management, and owner billings. Ensure projects are managed responsibly and positioned for strong financial outcomes.
  • Build & Maintain Client Relationships: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders. Build trust through proactive communication, responsiveness, and consistent execution.
  • Lead & Develop Teams: Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to team members. Foster accountability, collaboration, and professional growth across the project team.
  • Cultivate Subcontractor & Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Promote a team-oriented project environment built on communication, accountability, and mutual respect.
  • Champion Safety & Quality: Work closely with field leadership and Safety to uphold IMC’s “Safety First” culture. Support the consistent execution of project-specific safety and quality standards across all phases of construction.
  • Drive Accountability & Problem Solving: Lead with urgency, professionalism, and sound judgment. Create alignment across project teams and help drive solutions that keep projects moving forward efficiently and effectively.
  • Support Business Development Efforts: Assist in client development, interviews, proposal efforts, and relationship management to help support repeat business and future opportunities.

Skills & Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Proven experience successfully managing large and/or complex commercial construction projects
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience mentoring and developing project teams
  • Deep understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontract management, and project execution
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities and teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing project financials, forecasting, and change management
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Primavera/P6, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
