Responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities within the crude oil, products and gas sectors. This role involves strategic planning, relationship building, market analysis, and negotiation to expand the company's presence and revenue.
The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Business Unit leader to align business development initiatives with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Business Development: Participate in formulating the strategy and identifying, evaluating, and structuring key transactions to ensure continued financial health and maximum value creation through the entire product life cycle.
- Business Planning: Develop and propose annual business plans for a given area or department, ensuring alignment with strategy. Recommend financial and headcount budgets; propose business targets, for example, revenues or other key performance indicators (KPIs); and schedule key activities/projects, ensuring integration with other elements of the organization.
- Strategic Partnering: Manage a significant segment of strategic partnering, ensuring robust partner identification, relationship building, and partnership agreement negotiation.
- Performance Management: Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
- Build and optimize significant relationships and interactions with external and internal stakeholders, including key decision makers, regulators, public organizations, governmental institutions, insurance companies, providers, professional communities, and customer/client/patient groups.
Over 10 to 15 years experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames. Master's Degree or Equivalent Level. Strong understanding of business models, markets, and regulatory environment. Business analysis, reporting, and operational oversight capabilities. Strategic planning, risk management, and long-term growth alignment. Market and customer analysis with data-driven decision making. Experience driving business initiatives, transformation, and process improvement. Understanding of policies, procedures, and organisational alignment. Strategic and Commercial Acumen. Market and Opportunity Analysis.
