Support workers are the key to providing outstanding care and we are looking for vibrant, resilient and committed people to join our growing team in Winsford.
Night shifts are worked on a rolling rota as part of a rotating staff team.
Please note: we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.
- General Duties And Responsibilities
- To provide support, advocacy and information to the individuals we support.
- To provide emotional and practical support to service users.
- To help service users meet their personal care needs sensitively and appropriately to a high standard, including personal hygiene, and preparing meals and drinks.
- To support service users to take any prescribed medicine, complying with all medicine policies, including storage, administering and record keeping.
- To help service users to identify and choose their support needs.
- To assist in devising, implementing and reviewing support plans.
- To complete all duties assigned for waking night staff, including necessary household activities such as domestic cleaning, cooking and laundry.
- Be an active member of the House/Service team.
- Work within, and promote, the Policies and Procedures of Person Centred Care.
- Provide a safe, comfortable and supportive home for the individuals we support.
- Participate in the opportunities provided for training and development.
- Keep records and participate in administrative tasks.
- Ensure that the rights of the people we support are always protected and respected.
- Be compassionate and understanding.
- Experience working with children or people with SEN/complex needs is essential for this role.
- Dynamic problem solver who can work well under pressure.
- Effective verbal and listening skills.
- Excellent time management and communication skill.
