iMap is looking for caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Bank Adult Support Workers to join our team at the iMap Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and additional support needs to live fulfilling and independent lives.
As a Bank Adult Support Worker, you will provide flexible cover to support our services during periods of annual leave, sickness, and increased demand. This role offers the opportunity to work around your availability while making a positive difference every day.
Holiday pay rolled up and paid as an additional 12.07% of your basic pay for all hours worked. This represents payment for your statutory holiday entitlement and is paid alongside your hourly rate. There is an additional Β£0.40 per hour for Waking Night duties.
You will support individuals to participate in a range of meaningful activities, develop life skills, access their local community, and achieve their personal goals. You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide person-centred support that promotes choice, independence, dignity, and wellbeing by:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and autism.
- Encouraging individuals to develop independence and life skills.
- Supporting people to engage in social, recreational, and community activities.
- Assisting with personal care where required.
- Supporting individuals to manage daily routines and activities.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant documentation.
- Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and positive behaviour support practices.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals.
- A caring, patient, and compassionate approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
- A commitment to promoting independence and inclusion.
- Previous experience in a support worker role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A willingness to undertake training relevant to the role.
