Our school is based on a beautiful 84-acre site in Barrowmore, rural Cheshire. The school is an incredible place for children who have complex needs arising from autism, behavioural and learning difficulties to thrive, learn new skills, grow in confidence, and make new friends. About the Role
- As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our pupils to make progress in all aspects of their education and personal development.
- Delivering planned learning activities and supporting pupils to achieve their EHCP targets.
- Leading small group and individual sessions, both in the classroom and through outdoor learning opportunities such as forest school.
- Safeguarding and protecting our pupils at all times.
- Encouraging attendance, attainment, and achievement for all pupils.
- Helping pupils to develop essential life skills and independence.

Requirements:
- Hold a Level 4 (HLTA) qualification or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this.
- Experience working with children and young people with autism and/or learning disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people both orally and in writing.
- Well organised, self-motivated and able to adapt learning for each pupil.
- Confident IT user and able to support digital learning.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current Disability/SEN theory and practice, particularly linked to Autism.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection frameworks.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils to reach their full potential.
