Overview

As a Class 1 Low Loader Driver, you will play a vital role in our clients tight-knit operations team by ensuring timely and safe plant to job sites. The position is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to learn and progress within the heavy Haulage Sector of the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicles safely and efficiently to transport plant and occasionally materials to job sites.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload customers machinery as required, ensuring thorough chaining techniques are applied.
  • Competent use of PDA/Tablet to receive jobs and record photographic evidence on collection and delivery.
  • Effective communication with site supervisors and transport office.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies whilst out on the road.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card and a CE driving licence entitlement.
  • NPORS & CSCS Desirable
  • Proven Experience as a Low Loader driver within Plant hire, construction or related fields preferable.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and potential over nights

Benefits

In return, our client offers an hourly salary between £15 - £18 per hour.

Hours of work Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm + optional overtime available
